Dear family and friends - As many of you know, our dad, Jim Chalmers, has passed away. We miss him terribly. But as we mourn, we are also comforted by our memories, by the daily reminders of all the things he taught us, and by your many messages. Dad loved fishing, golfing and being outdoors. He served Rotary and talked often about the Marysville chapter’s project to digitize the archives of the Yuba-Sutter newspapers, which reflected another of his great interests: history. We are grateful for the times we had together. He ended every conversation by telling us he loved us. We know he helped many people, but we usually never heard about it from him, because dad was not a man to make grand public gestures. His tendency was toward thoughtful, kind acts: taking the time to send us a newspaper or magazine clipping about something we liked, or calling to follow up on something that had been on our minds. We know that his golf, fishing and Rotary peers are just a fraction of his community. We hope to get to know more of the members of that community, and we invite you to share your memories and stories with us here. With gratitude, Christy and Jenna
